We want you to love your purchase from Forged Timber Company. If you need to return or exchange an item, we’re here to help! We accept returns on select items within 14 days of purchase. You may choose store credit, an exchange, or a refund to your original payment method.
Custom Orders
If you are not satisfied with your custom order, it may be eligible for return within 14 days of shipment—only with prior written approval from Forged Timber Company. Unauthorized returns will not be accepted or refunded.
To request a return, please contact Customer Service at info@forgedtimbercompany.com or (704) 746-0012. Products must be shipped and returned in undamaged condition to qualify for a refund.
Refunds will cover the product purchase price and any applicable sales tax, minus return shipping costs and deductions for any missing or damaged items. Approved refunds are typically processed within 14 business days after the returned item is received.
Returns due to product defects or company error may be exempt from restocking or return shipping fees.
Please note:
- Custom milled and special-order products are non-refundable.
- Damaged or defective products may be exchanged within 14 days of delivery, provided they are unused and in their original condition.
- All returned custom items are subject to a 20% restocking fee.
Forged Timber Company reserves the right to deny or restrict returns we determine to be fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of this policy.
Lumber Orders
Lumber that has been cut, milled, or otherwise altered by the customer is not eligible for return. Unused, uncut lumber may be returned within 30 calendar days of purchase for a refund, provided it is in its original condition.
Stock items may also be returned within 30 days for a refund.
All lumber is sold as-is. While Forged Timber Company selects high-quality materials, natural irregularities such as knots, mineral streaks, or grain variation are common in hardwoods and softwoods.
For lumber or materials shipped directly from a manufacturer, written return authorization is required from Forged Timber Company. These returns may be subject to denial or additional fees.
Finishes
Unopened paint, stain, and finishes may be returned within 30 days of purchase, subject to a 15% restocking fee. Items must be in their original, unopened condition.
Custom orders are non-refundable.
Additional information:
- Lost or damaged returns will not be refunded. Please purchase insurance for full cost of your order when shipping returns back to our warehouse.
- No refund will be issued for returns sent without prior written authorization from Forged Timber Company.
