General Finishes Oil Based Hard Wax Oil

Newest finish from General Finishes! Hard Wax Oil is a high quality urethane-solids polymer in a mix of oil and wax to enhance the natural look of wood.
Recommended for interior raw wood furniture, millwork, and woodworking projects. It won’t crack or peel and can be buffed to a slightly higher sheen. This is a maintenance product so you can reapply when wear becomes evident. It is best used with the optional General Finishes Hardener to improve its durability and shorten dry time, but is not required.

Use with Hard Wax Oil Hardener:
– mix GF Hardener with this ration – 1/4 tsp Hardener:1 oz Hard Wax Oil
* Mixed product will harden after 4-6 hours so use immediately after mixing

Application:
– Apply thin coat with a trowel or non woven synthetic pad. Spread evenly with a white non woven pad or plastic spreader
– Let rest for 5-10 mins
– Wipe off excess evenly with the grain and with light pressure using a clean terry cloth. Follow with clean white non woven pad until the surface is dry and smooth
– If you need/want a second coat, wait 24 hours before re application
